Amy Kao — An American Beauty

Amy Kao was recently selected as Miss New Jersey National US 2013. She will be competing in the 2014 Miss National US pageant in San Antonio next summer. Miss National US Incorporated (MNUS) is a national, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that focuses on community outreach and educational scholarships. It is a leadership program for young women and teens.

Amy Kao is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business. As an avid pianist and violist. Amy Kao co-founded the International Music and Arts Society (IMAS) in 2010 with the mission of advancing musical and cultural relationships between teachers and students all over the world.

As an experienced emcee and show host, Amy Kao has graced both local and global stages to bring shows alive for her audience. She is currently very involved with emceeings concerts and shows for Ice Pn Television, a global television network for Asian Americans.


In the past, Amy Kao has hosted in Italy and China for the International Music Culture Festival. Recently, She hosted concert for Li Chuan Yun, a globally acclaimed violinist.




Passionate about contributing to positive change through social impact, Amy Kao has volunteered on educational and community development projects in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, China, Italy, France, and Taiwan. She will be traveling to Panama City with her company in June to help micro-enterprise owners develop their businesses.

An active member of her community, Amy Kao serves as a spokesperson for the developmentally disabled in New Jersey, and currently sits on the board for two non-profits: Musicopia and We Are Impacting Communities (WAICO). Amy Kao is currently employed as a Strategy and Operations Consultant at Deloitte Consulting in Philadelphia.
