From organizers of 2014 Future Leader Award Scholarship Gala

On behalf of the NAAAP Boston Scholarship Committee, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all for attending our 25th annual Future Leader Award Scholarship Gala at Northeastern University. It was an honor to recognize two outstanding high school seniors, Jerry Li and Yi Fung for their accomplishments in leadership, community service, extra-curricular activities, and academic achievement.

We were also honored to have Massachusetts State Senator Sonia Chang-Diaz and Boston City Councilor Michelle Wu as our distinguished guest speakers. State Senator Chang-Diaz defined leadership as “inspiring, empowering, organizing, and mobilizing others.” Boston City Councilor Wu talked about the importance of “connecting all our communities” and developing “a society that is truly reflective, representative, and inclusive.”

Furthermore, this event would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors and individual donors: Liberty Mutual Insurance, Richard T.N. Lee Scholarship Fund, SunLife Financial, Tufts Health Plan, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Eastern Bank and the Asian American Center at Northeastern University.

For our members who were not able to attend the event, please view and enjoy the photos from the event and we hope you are able to take part in next year’s award ceremony.

For those who attended, please fill out this survey to let us know your thoughts so we can plan for next year.
