Jewish Vocational Service Seeks Director Business Development

Jewish Vocational Service seeks an individual with an entrepreneurial spirit to oversee the implementation of the business plan which seeks to expand employer partners and services and grow relationships deeper across this division and the agency.

Success in this role will require a strong training background with a keen eye for training solutions to business challenges.  As a vendor of training solutions you will need to quickly assimilate into a variety of organizational environments expanding their workforce development capacity. The focus of this role is twofold: (1) identifying new employer partners in need of workforce development solutions for their entry level staff (workplace ESOL, computer literacy, reading, writing, math, etc.), (2) developing and implementing training services for new employer partners until the contract is stable (at which time it will be transitioned to a colleague).

Organizational clients include restaurants, hotels, hospitals, long-term healthcare providers, cleaning services, retailers, parking services and many other types of organizations.  Participants/trainees are likely to be entry level employees in the healthcare, hospitality and retail sectors. Seventy to 80% will be refugee or immigrants to the U.S. with a wide range of skills and educational backgrounds. For more information, visit: http://jvs-boston.org/index.php/about-us/jobs
