As Boston Bruins Takes 2:1 Stanley Cup Finals Lead, Larry Kwong Celebrates 90th Birthday

Boston, June 18, 2013, — Boston Bruins outplayed visiting Chicago Blackhawks in game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals last night at TD Garden. The 2:0 victory gives Boston 2:1 series lead. On the same day, the first person of Asian ancestry to play in the National Hockey League (NHL), Chinese Canadian Larry Kwong celebrated his 90th birthday. On June 8, 2013, over 200 people showed up for a birthday party for Mr. Kwong in a restaurant in Calgary.

天公作美 第34届波士顿香港龙舟节好看又好玩

【侨报周末特约记者李强波士顿图文报道】 6月9日晴空万里、气温不冷不热，是波士顿今年入夏以来难得的一个好天气。一年一度的香港龙舟节在查尔斯河的两岸火热开幕。经过4个多小时的激烈竞赛，“第22条军规”（Catch 22）队以2分27秒的好成绩夺得公开组冠军，比去年冠军队的成绩缩短了4秒，体现了龙舟赛水准在逐年提高。

Pigs fed a combination of genetically modified soy and corn suffer more frequent severe stomach inflammation and enlargement of the uterus than those who eat a non-GM diet, according to a new peer-reviewed long-term feeding study published Tuesday in the Organic Systems Journal.

The 2013 annual conference of Sino-American Pharmaceutical Professionals Association New England (SAPA-NE) was successfully held on May 25 at MIT. The day-long event attracted close to 500 attendees. It started with lectures at the Wang Auditorium at the Sloan School, and ended with a banquet at the Walker Memorial Morse Hall just a few blocks away in MIT campus. Board members of SAPA-NE also shared a birthday cake to celebrate SAPA-NE’s 15th birthday at end of the banquet.

Gov. Patrick Honors Graduates of the Commonwealth Management Certificate Program

Boston, June 11, 2013 – Governor Deval Patrick today recognized the 2012-2013 graduates of the Commonwealth Management Program (CMCP). Seventy-eight managers completed the program, representing all eight secretariats and 37 agencies across the Executive Branch. During the year long program, managers explore ways to provide better service to the citizens of the Commonwealth and streamline processes to gain efficiency in their agencies.

5月份，两支来自中国大陆的文艺团体先后在波士顿后湾的汉考克剧院登台表演。虽然两个文艺团体的背景迥然不同，但是演员们对艺术的投入和精彩的表演，在波士顿爆炸案发生之后不久为波士顿观众带来了美好的艺术享受，获得观众的好评。

【侨报周末实习记者王昊、特约记者李强波士顿图文报道】 5月13日、14日来自上海癌症康复俱乐部展望生命艺术团的45名成员专程到美国波士顿访问，并与美国癌症协会的癌友联手于14日晚在波士顿汉考克剧场进行了一场别开生面的演出。本活动是应美国哈佛大学麻省总医院脂类医学与技术研究中心、美国癌症协会（American Cancer Society）以及美国亚裔乳癌协会（Asian Breast Cancer Project）的邀请进行的。这也是中国大陆的癌症团体第一次组团到美国访问。
