Message from The Bridge Medicine Editorial Board / 《健桥医学》编辑部致读者信

Dear all,

On behalf of the American Chinese Medical Association (ACMA), I would like to introduce you our magazine: The Bridge Medicine（健桥医学）.
This magazine was debuted at the 2012 Chinese New Year Gala, and we would like to thank you all for your encouragement and support.

This magazine is in Chinese, and it is to serve the Chinese community in the US as well as in the world. The majority of the contributors to this magazine are licensed medical doctors in the US, which ensures the high quality of this magazine. Our mission is to provide medical information to our community from dedicated medical professionals. Our target readers are two folds: one is medical professionals, and the other one is the general population in the Chinese community.

Please see the attachment for the sample of our debut issue. Our plan is to release the magazine on a monthly – bimonthly basis.

首先，我们谨代表北美中华医学会感谢诸位在过去的十几年中对我们的支持和协助。
今天，我们向各位隆重推出我们为社区带来的医学杂志：The Bridge Medicine《健桥医学》。
《健桥医学》在龙年创刊，并在这次2012年龙年新英格兰华人专业人士春节联欢暨社区论坛首次与公众见面，并取得各方面的关注，这里离不开各兄弟学会组织的鼎立支持和帮助。

这份杂志是一本中文杂志。为我们杂志撰写文章的绝大多数都是在美国完成专业训练的执照医生。现在健康医学问题越来越受到公众的关注，我们办这份杂志的目的，就是希望我们这样一个医学的专业团队，运用我们的专业知识，来为美国，乃至世界的广大的华人社区服务。

为了让大家对我们的杂志有更深的了解，我们附上第一期创刊号的PDF文件供各位阅读。我们面向的观众主要是两个层面：一是医生护士等医疗专业人士，二是习惯于中文信息的广大华人社区。我们打算把它办成一个月刊或双月刊的长期为华人社区服务的“医学知识指南”。

敬请各个兄弟学会把我们的杂志转发给你们的会员和朋友。
现在我们诚征赞助，或者合作伙伴。希望有兴趣的朋友能够和我们一起把这份杂志办成一个深受华人社区喜爱的医学科普读物。
