Frank Wang Wins The Tenth Annual Boston China Cup Golf Tournament

Boston, Oct. 1, 2013, — Tenth annual Boston Chinese Golf Association (BCGA) Cup, also known as China Cup, was held on Sunday, September 29, at Stow Acres Golf Club. The weather was very perfect for playing golf with mild temperatures and little wind.

Under the blue skies, players enjoyed playing on the beautiful green grass of Stow Acres. After intense 18-hole competition, Frank Wang took home the group A Championship. The completed results are at bottom of this report.

A total of 55 players participated in this year’s China Cup tournament held just days before China’s National Day. From time to time, cheers erupted on the golf course as players congratulated a nice long drive or a birdie putt by someone. Two players from mainland China joined this year’s tournament. They overcame jet lag and achieved good results.

After the tournament, all players happily arrived at Chang An restaurant in Concord, Mass. for dinner. They enjoyed a nice meal and shared laughters after a long day playing the game they loved.

Group A: champion Frank Wang, runner-up Xiujun Wang, third place Frank Chen.
Group B: champion Jeff W., runner-up Paul Chen, third place Fuxin Zhao.
Group C: Champion Jun Wu, runner-up Qiongsheng Zhuang, third place Sherry Yu.




Team champion: Chen Shyh-hwang, Tai Li and et al (group of 4 people).

Men’s longest drive prize: Kevin Lo.

Men’s closest to the hole prize: Shih-Ming Shiue.

Women’s longest drive prize: Yen-Ching Zhu.

Women’s closest to the hole prize: Yen-Ching Zhu.

Hole-in-one prize: vacant for this year.
