Boston Chinatown Incident Report for August and September 2014

Boston, Sept. 24, 2014, –For the past a few weeks, the Crime Watch Teams of CCBA and Leather District have worked together very closely to keep both area safe. Under the leadership of Hung Goon and Larry Young, the team has increasing volunteers and purchase more equipments.

September 23, 2014, Tuesday afternoon, around 6:30, Chinatown, fire alarm went off on the third floor of 600 Washington Street. Before six fire engines and two ambulances arrived in the scene, CCBA Crime Watch team members, Kwang and Lau brothers of Loong Kong Tien Yee Association of New England, and Patrict Cao from Gee Tuck Sam Tuck Association were there to direct traffic. Half an hour later, the fire alarm was found to be false, and traffic returned to normal.CCBA Crime Watch team continued to patrol in Chinatown.

August 29, 2014, 6:45 PM, a drunk person came from the Leather District across the street to the Chinatown Gateway, he suspiciously influenced by drug, harassing the people near by violently, Leather District Crime Watch Team member Matthew Broude had followed him from his area, when the person arrived the Chinatown Gate, members of CCBA Crime Watch Team immediately surrounding him to prevent him for farther harassment and bothering the people in the park. Called 911 for assistance, EMT responded and transported the person to the proper place.


August 17, 2014, the auto in the photo above was parked in front of New Moon Villa Restaurant Sunday morning when the gun-fire took place. Four people were shot in the incident. They have been treated and released from area hospitals. The suspect was arrested by police.
