Boston, Nov. 30, 2014, — The hemisphere film “From Dream to Discovery: Inside NASA Engineering” opened to media members on Nov. 22. It was Produced by the Museum of Science by one of the best hemisphere film production teams in the world. It will open to general public on Dec. 1, 2014.

From blueprint to blastoff, the film brings to you unforgettable experience of how unmanned space flight is pushing the frontiers of human exploration to the very edges of the universe!

Join NASA’s engineers as they design, test, and launch today’s hottest missions into space. Witness the enormity of the new James Webb Space Telescope, the intensity of Goddard Space Flight Center’s testing facilities, and the excitement of the New Horizons mission to Pluto.

This program is based upon work supported by NASA under grant number NNX12AL19G. Any opinions, findings, and conclusions or recommendations expressed are those of the Museum of Science, and do not necessarily reflect the views of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

“From Dream to Discovery offers viewers a first-hand glimpse into NASA’s remarkable engineering process,” said David Rabkin, the Museum’s Farinon director, Current Science and Technology. “Visitors will be immersed in two NASA missions – the James Webb space telescope, even more powerful than Hubble, and New Horizons which will reach Pluto after more than 9 years o travel in July 2015, and visit Goddard Space Flight Center to see how spacecraft are tested. The film demonstrates that if engineers can learn from their failures and still dare to dream, they can accomplish some truly amazing things.”

The film makes a wonderful gift to children over age 5 and adults in this holiday season. Admission to the Charles Hayden Planetarium is $10 for adults, $9 for seniors (60+), and $8 for children.
