Wanjia Annual Merchant Conference Builds Social Network for Businesses

Dec. 26, 2014, — Boston Web Power held the WanJia Annual Merchant Conference recently at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care office building in Wellesley, Mass. Close to 200 members and guests of wanjiaweb.com attended the conference despite of an rainy evening.

Xiaoyan Huang, CEO of Boston Web Power, reviewed key developments of the company and its members at the conference after attendees enjoyed delicious buffet dinner. Boston Web Power printed 10,000 copies of 2015 calendar which features its member businesses. “We will distribute these calendars to our members and local Chinese schools,” said Mr. Huang.

“It’s a great opportunity to meet friends and business partners at this annual event,” said Attorney Connie Dai of law firm CUTLER & WILENSKY. Ms. Dai was recognized as one of the Rising Stars in New England in 2014 for her expertise and experience in Business/Corporate law. Super Lawyers selects attorneys using a multiphase selection process which combines peer nominations and evaluations with third party research.


Photographers from Boston Chinese Photographers’ Association (BCPA) was on site to provide profile photograph for attendees. Immigration attorney Yaran Pan and Leeying Wu of EA Education Consulting & Services, LLC were among many attendee who got professional profile photos taken.

Boston Bilingual Media and Publishing (BBMP) Inc. and Asian American Association of Boston (AAAOB) shared a vendor’s table at conference. BBMP recently published a biography of WWII veteran Arthur Wong. On Dec. 29, 2014, 15 members AAAOB art troupe will leave for Guangdong China, where they will perform at New Year Concert in Guangzhou, and tour Overseas Chinese History Museum.

Speakers from Small Business Administration, MassMutual and Greater New England Minority Supplier Development Council were invited to talk about federal government support and programs that are of interest to small business owners.

The conference was co-sponsored with Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Asian Pacific American Business Association to promote collaboration among Asian businesses to promote growth, partnership, and opportunity.
