BBMP Hosts Book Release Party

Boston, March 12, 2015, — Boston Bilingual Media and Publishing (BBMP) Inc. hosted a book release party for Love of Four Seasons on March 7 at Royal East restaurant in Cambridge. Over a dozen people showed up to congratulate author Ms. Shuping Yao for her new novel about four love stories of Chinese student Mo Ni.

Shuping Yao thanked BBMP for hosting this release party. Beatrice Lee, a well-known columnist at bostonese.com recalled her experience as an international student in the 1950s.

Ms. Yao has lived in Massachusetts since the 1990s. She has been a visiting scholar and Associate in Researcher at Harvard University. She has taught in several liberal arts colleges in the US, such as Smith College, Franklin & Marshall College and etc. Her novels are based around historical events, and have drawn rave reviews around the world.

Shuping Yao was born during the brutal Japanese occupation of China during WWII. She has had deep links to history and fondness of literature since a young age.

A 1963 graduate of the University of Science & Technology of China where she majored in Modern Physics. Ms. Yao’ interests have driven her research and writing about China’s modern history through fictional format in particular. Her works include a number of screenplays about China’s scientists in the late 1970s to 1980s, several omelets and short stories in 1980s to 1990s. Her books have drawn rave reviews from around the world.

In the 21th century she has written a long novel about the China’s Cultural Revolution: The Land of Sorrow and the award-winning long novel He Came From the East which follows the stories of twin brothers who were accidentally separated during the conscription of war Chinese Laborers during WWI.
