According to its website chinesecultureconnection.org, CCC’s mission is to bring the exciting world of Chinese arts and culture to children and adults throughout New England. Chinese scholars and artists share their knowledge and skills in a variety of settings: interactive lectures; workshops; performances; exhibits, and special events. All of these stimulate the imagination—and inspire an appreciation of diversity and creativity.

Using interactive educational programs and the arts, CCC strives to inspire cultural curiosity and appreciation among all people regardless of their native origin. It helps American-born Chinese to value their Chinese heritage, so they can develop and preserve a positive cultural identity, and supports immigrants in balancing their cultural heritage with American life and traditions, so they may achieve their goals in the United States. The East Meets West Cultural Dialogue Series is a good example such educational programs.

CCC draws its support from a wide variety of sources, especially from the City of Malden and the Massachusetts Cultural Council. You can help support CCC’s mission by attending its 10th Annual Fundraising Gala on April 11. Please call 781-321-6316 to reserve your seats.
