2013 Spring dance session Starts on Jan. 13

There will be two classes for students at least ages 5 and above. Class size will be limited to 15 students and will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Curriculum will included Chinese Classical/Folk Dances, Chinese Dance Technique, Creative Dance & Improvisation, Stretch & Flexibility, Pilates and Drawing Dance. Younger kids learned two Chinese Folk Dance combinations – one is Tibetan Dance, another one is Mongolian Dance; older kids learned Chinese Classical Dance combinations and a Chinese Contemporary Dance – Taiji Yinxiang (太极印象).

Hang-Dong Xu 徐航东 graduated from Shanghai Dance Academy, He became a principal dancer of Shanghai Music and Dance Company and also taught at both Shanghai International Culture Study Institute and the former Shanghai Dance Academy.

JIA MA 马嘉graduated from Beijing Dance Academy with a B. A. with Distinction degree in 2002 and received her M.F.A. degree from Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2009. She was a dance teacher teaching Chinese Classical Dance Techniques and Dance Rehearsals and also doubled as Class Advisor at Beijing Dance Academy Affiliated Middle School.
