Job Description
Basic Objective: To ensure accurate and timely reporting of the consolidation for the overall company including 135 legal entities to corporate headquarters in Rome.
Prepare consolidated journal entries and elimination entries ensuring the elimination of all intercompany transactions.
Perform quarterly and annual reporting in compliance with Italian regulations including financial statement analysis comparing period over period changes.
Support Supervisor with coordinating quarterly closes and the annual audit, and work with external auditors to complete the consolidated audit and related reporting.
Maintains Consistent Interface with: – Accounting Group Personnel (Local and Group),Asset Managers, Treasury Group, Controller, Assistant Controller and Accounting Manager
Reports to the Assistant Controller
Responsible for reporting monthly capital expenditures, equity changes, net debt, derivatives and financial charges and income
Responsible for recording the proper flows for each entity and account
Must maintain relationship with corporate headquarters in Rome to discuss changes in accounting treatments and understand system procedures
Respond to ad hoc requests from both internal and external sources
Perform currency translation adjustments *
Use SAP, Excel and Oracle/Hyperion to report monthly/quarterly/annual financials
Maintain Internal Audit requirements and ensure strict compliance
Manage Remedy system and act as a resource for all financial reporting technical issues
Covert financial statements from US GAAP to IFRS
