Police and school officials on Thursday announced that 21-year-old Chung-Wei Yang died at a hospital Monday evening after the accident at the busy intersection of Harvard and Brighton avenues in the city’s Allston neighborhood.
The school said Yang, who went by the name Victor, came to BU from Taiwan in January. The investigation into the death continues. Police say there’s no evidence to suggest that the bus driver or any of the passengers knew anyone was struck. No charges have been filed, but drug and alcohol tests have been conducted on the driver, who has been taken off the road. |
