Boston, Jan. 10, 2013, — On Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, our senior reporter Mr. David Li received an email from Kenda Gee, a well-respected Canadian director and filmmaker. In that email, Mr. Gee mentioned that David Li’s review article Never to Be Forgotten – Lost Years Documents Struggles of Early Chinese Immigrants has been quoted on the back cover of DVD of the documentary film Lost Years. Director Gee also sent a picture of the DVD cover below.

In mid-section on the back of the Lost Years DVD, the following is quoted from bostonese.com’s review article.
“a masterpiece” — Bostonese Magazine. According to director Gee, The Blue-Ray disc release is scheduled in the spring of 2013. At that time, the institutional / educational version will hopefully be completed as well. The current DVDs are for Home Use Only (not for public / community screenings). |

When asked about being quoted on the DVD cover of Lost Years, Mr. David Li said: “It’s such an unbelievable honor. I have great respect for Kenda and his film-making skills. Lost Years was created with such passion and burden of history by Kenda and his crew that everyone of Chinese descent should see it in a movie theater or get a DVD.”
