Top Ten Natural Disasters of 2013 and Most Beautiful Places Around the World

Feb. 4, 2013, — Comparing with the previous year, 2013 was a mild year in natural disasters until Typhoon Haiyan touched down in the Philippines on November 8, 2013. Drought in Africa, earthquakes and floods in Asian made up a large portion of the top ten natual disaster list of 2013.

Typhoon Haiyan, known as Typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines, was an exceptionally powerful tropical cyclone that devastated portions of Southeast Asia, particularly the Philippines, in November 8, 2013. The Philippines and China were hit the hardest by Natural Disasters in 2013 with multiple entries in the top ten list.

According to Wikipedia, Typhoon is the deadliest Philippine typhoon on record, killing at least 6,201 people in that country alone. Haiyan is also the strongest storm recorded at landfall, and unofficially the strongest typhoon ever recorded in terms of wind speed. As of January, 2014, bodies are still being found.
