Locally, there are a couple summer programs that my son has enjoyed over the last couple years. Lexington Youth Center for Asian Learning (LYCAL) offers week-long summer camps in August 2014. It also offers two-week camps for international students. More details can be found at: www.lycalma.us/summer-camp.

Angel Performing Arts offers dance and Music workshops at Waltham, Framingham, Acton and Sharon in this Summer. Students will learn Chinese dances, Ballet, Jazz, Vocal Class, and Stage Performing Arts. Please visit www.angelperformanceart.com for more information.

Internationally, the Asian American Association of Boston is offering a joint program with Chan Wu Center in Guangzhou, China. You can find more details at www.aaaboston.org.

The following is another international program offered by Jinan University (JNU). Please give Ms. He a call if you are interested.

Introduction of GETTING TO KNOW MORE ABOUT CHINA

JNU Summer School International: GETTING TO KNOW MORE ABOUT CHINA is designed for international students who are keen on Chinese culture and its development. This year, we have included several courses and some lectures on subjects like China’s Foreign Relations, China’s Economy, Traditional Chinese Culture and Medicine, Chinese Kongfu, etc, all delivered by experienced teachers of Jinan University. In addition, there are a number of interesting and adventurous culture excursions. Participants will also have opportunities to interact with Chinese students on and off campus.
For more detail, please click on the following website: http://summer.jnu.edu.cn

For the consideration of friendly relationship between JNU and our partner universities, we would like to provide SCHOLARSHIP opportunities for some of the students who apply for the program. They will be exempted from a tuition fee of 6000 RMB, culture excursions of 2000 RMB and housing for 2000 RMB. A total scholarship amounts to 10000 RMB (1600+ USD).
However seats are limited and enrollments will be processed on a first-come-first-served basis. The enrollment deadline will be May 15.

Hopefully you and your colleagues could share this good news with your students and encourage them to experience with AMAZING CHINA!
