New York City, Sept. 15, 2014, — ATV Miss Asia Pageant US East Coast recently completed the final round of competition. Seventeen-year-old high school student Mikki O’Brien from New York won the first place while Jing Xu from Boston finished as the runner up.

In her self-introduction, Mikki O’Brien wrote:”I’m currently a student at Professional Performing Arts HS (PPAS). I study there as a vocal major. This year I will be a junior. I have had 4 years of professional vocal training from my voice teacher in Julliard Music School. I won a full scholarship at the Carnegie Hall Classical Music Competition for Best Musical Theater performance and best voice last October. I also dance hip-hop. At a young age I started to have a love for music and a high respect for the arts. My dream is to be a professional singer that’s successful.”

Miss. Jing Xu graduated from Brandeis University. She works in Waltham, Mass. in the field of international education. As ATV Miss Medical, Jing Xu has reported medical news for ATV in the East Coast.
The finalists in this year’s ATV Miss Asia Pageant US East Coast gathered at the Empire State Building and said hello to New York City from above. A celebration party will be held at MESSLOOK II Soho in the evening of Sept. 16. The following is a video of the final round competition.
Since the Miss Asia Pageant was last screened in 1985, the event has injected great vitality into the concept of competition and participation. The pageant has been an annual event of great popularity, with many golden moments still cherished by appreciative audiences.
