The Boston Chinese Musicians Association (BCMA) will hold a special ethnic traditional concert to Commemorate the 65th Anniversary of the Violin Concerto “Butterfly Lovers” on October 26, 2024. Thank you and appreciate for all your support.
The Boston Chinese Musicians Association (BCMA https://www.bcmaus.org), established in December 2012, is a non-profit cultural and artist organization with the purpose of helping spread and promote the Chinese music and art in the United States that include instrumental performance, vocal singing, music creation and music theory research.and participate in music and art activities of all ethnic groups.
Since its establishment in 2012, the Boston Chinese Musicians Association has successfully held several grand and comprehensive concerts, which have been widely welcome, joined and viewed by thousands of audiences in the Greater Boston area.
In 2016, the BCMA musicians and performers successfully held the Grand Theme Concert Series of “Dream of the Red Chamber” in a typical Chinese national characteristics and style. The artists’ marvelous performances were highly praised and positively commended by Mr. Wang Liping, the theme music composer of the well-known 1987-edition TV series “Dream of the Red Chamber” and this famous composer came onsite in person to watch the grand show and expressed his appreciation and affirmation!
The 2018 “Liu Sanjie” Suite Concert received the support from the composers Xian Zhenzhong and Xian Hua who recomposed and orchestrated the original music, integrating Western music The style is also more contemporary.
The “Ashima” suite concert had its world premiere in 2023. Composers Xian Zhenzhong and Xian Hua have once again joined forces and brought a beautiful grand show to the audience.
The Boston Chinese Musicians Association will continue to welcome music artists, music school students, and choral singing lovers from all walks of life to join us to create a rich and diversified art platform for the community contributions.
