“Please come and support. We stand together in unity for a peaceful protest against rapper YG and his song Meet The Flockers, which not only encourage crime but violence against Chinese Americans and other families. We need to STOP the violence and Ban the song!” wrote Esther Lee of the Chinese American Citizens Alliance (CACA) Boston Lodge.

The Chinese/Asian American community will hold a peaceful protest demonstration against rap artist YG on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 6:00 pm across the street from the House of Blues, 15 Lansdowne Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02215 to demand an apology, cease and desist performing the Meet the Flockers lyrics and video.

“Banning a song won’t stop the thugs from continuing to break into your house or mugging you. I encourage all Asian Americans to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights and arm themselves with a fire arm for their own and their families ultimate protection like this courageous Chinese lady in Atlanta,” commented a Chinese American gun owner.

Asian Americans are fighting back against violent crimes against them. One Chinese-American shop owner in Georgia has recently become a hero after using her handgun to shoot dead one of the burglars who broke into her home last month. Those burglars might well be inspired by rap songs like the hateful Meet The Flockers.

Surveillance camera footage taken on September 16, 2016 at 4 AM in the morning from inside 36-year-old Fengzhu Chen’s residence in Gwinnet County, Georgia has gone viral on the Chinese internet. The video shows three men with guns breaking in through the front door and then searching the house for cash. During their search, the burglars startled a shop assistant who shouted “no money!”

The commotion woke up Chen in her bedroom. She reportedly tried to call 911, but there was no response. Deciding to take matters into her own hands, Chen then burst out of her bedroom, shooting indiscriminately at the intruders with a handgun while still wearing her pajamas.

The burglars quickly fled under a hail of bullets. One of them was shot and died on Chen’s driveway. Another is believed to have been shot as well. The Gwinnett County Police Department released the footage of the incident, hoping it would help find the two fugitives who made it out alive and are still at large.

“She simply exercised her right to defend her livelihood and property,” said a local police department spokesman about the shooting. Chen’s husband had given her the gun just one month earlier. Prior to that night, she had only fired it once before, at a shooting range.
