Medford, Mass., May 11, 2013, — I went to see this comedy right in my neighborhood last week at Regent Theatre, 7 Medford St. Arlington, Mass. and also interviewed the one-man show’s actor, Peter J. Fogel by the telephone the day after for 45 minutes.

I really enjoyed this comedy, written by Steve Soloman, directed by Andy Rogow. The name “My mother is Italian, My father is Jewish, and I am in Therapy” — you guess it right that is really funny and witty. The 90 minute show has 2 acts with a 15 min. intermission, very entertaining.
The ad said “One part lasagna, one part kreplach, and two parts Prozac.” The theater was full and it seemed that everyone was laughing out loud so often that sometimes I even missed the punch line.Wonderful therapy for anyone’s busy and stressful life. I think that we don’t laugh enough in our life. |
I usually don’t go to comedy as some of them are very “off the color”,too many mother-in-law jokes and very degrading of the ethnic background. This one definitely is not. Pretty high class act.

Amazing and hysterically funny. As heartwarming as comfort food like someone puts it. WCBS TV said “A funny look at family relationship. An entire family wrapped up in a one-man show. It indeed was a big HIT. Have you seen “The Producers”? It’s just so clever, a truly 90 minute laugh-fest. |
