Nashua, New Hampshire, Jan. 16, 2014, — Many people in the greater Nashua Chinese community were shocked to learn that 52-year-old Qinghua Peter Lu of Hollis N.H. passed away on Monday, Jan. 13 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua. According to the hospital, Mr. Lu had suffered from a heart attack.

Boston, Oct. 24, 2013, — For once, you won’t read the name of the suspect. Let’s remember the victim and honor her legacy. Danvers High School math teacher Colleen Ritzer, 24, was brutally murdered on Tuesday, Oct. 22. The Boston Red Sox held a Moment of Silence for Colleen Ritzer at Fenway Park before Game One of the World Series.

Just when Hurricane Sandy was making all the headlines, 28-year-old Chinese student Heng Nikita Guo was found dead in her apartment in Cambridge, Mass. on Oct. 26, 2012. Ms. Guo’s death was later ruled a suicide by medical examiner. A second year MBA student at MIT Sloan School of Management, Heng Nikita Guo’s death raised concerns about the unrelenting pressure and workload at top US universities, especially for international students. As students returning campus from winter break, Nikita’s memory is still vivid among her classmates and friends.
