“As you all know, my father was a very optimistic person who loved a good laugh and to be around friends. There will be a memorial held to remember my father on Saturday beginning at 2:00 PM in Manchester, New Hampshire at the Phaneuf Funeral Home. I know my dad would have wanted all his friends and classmates to be there to send him off,” wrote Charley Lu in an email.

Mr. Lu was an active member of the Chelmsford Chinese Language School community. He also made a lot of friends playing soccer in this area. “Cannot believe this happened. I still remember passing him a good ball in Chelmsford 10 years ago,” wrote a member of the Acton Chinese soccer team.

“I am sad to reply this email and completely shocked to learn of his passing. He was only 52. To ease this difficult transition and to help his younger son to complete his college education, donations are accepted and greatly appreciated,” wrote Obert Wang, a friend and former co-worker of Mr. Lu.

To make a donation to Lu family, please contact Charley Lu at [email protected] for address to send the check.

A funeral service will be held in Mr. Lu’s honor at 2:00 PM Saturday, Jan 18, 2014. The address of the funeral home is 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, N.H.
