Boston, Dec, 8, 2024, — With six months left before the 2025 Boston Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival, Mr. Tianyuan Jiang, a well-known Chinese calligrapher and painter, presented calligraphy works to the members of the Wolfpack dragon boat team at the Empire Garden Restaurant in Chinatown today to congratulate them on winning the championship this year. Guests such as Gail Wang, chairman of the Boston Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival Organizing Committee, board directors Kathy Lobo, Yihan Yin and other guests attended the event.

Cai and Team Encore Win Theatre On Ice International Championship
Boston, May 1, 2019, — Grace KelsangMetog Cai and her Encore team just won 2019 Theatre On Ice International Championship in Epinal, France on April 27, 2019. Grace and her teammates were very proud when they saw American flag rising with the Star Spangled Banner at the award ceremony.
Grace KelsangMetog Cai is straight A student at Oak Hill Middle School in Newton, Mass., and a member of the school math team. “Kelsangmetog” is Tibetan for Lucky Flower. Her mother’s side family is from Tibet, China. Although Tibet is known as snow-land, figure skating is a rare sport to participate in there. Her mother graduated from Boston College with Master in Accounting and Simmons College with Master in Business Administration. Her father is from Guangdong, China and a Tsinghua university graduate.

John Hancock Brings Elite Runners to Hopkinton Marathon Rally
HOPKINTON, MA – April 13, 2017 – John Hancock brought 2012 men’s champion Wesley Korir, 2015 women’s champion Caroline Rotich, and several other elite Kenyan athletes to a pre-marathon rally with nearly 600 students from Hopkinton’s Elmwood Elementary School. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the first time John Hancock brought Kenyan athletes to the school for this event.

Xiamen to Host First Ironman Event in China

Cambridge, Mass., Sept. 30, 2015, — The ancient Chinese game Weiqi, also known as Go in the US, is the only board game that super-computer hasn’t defeated human yet. For the first time in history, the semi-finals of an Asian professional Go tournament: 2015 China’s Chang Qi Cup was held on U.S. in the North America at Harvard campus from Sept. 26 to 28.

UIUC Wins 2015 Mid-America Cup Soccer Tournament

Chicago, Sept 7, 2014, — UIUC Old Corns defeated Chicago Purple Warhead 3:0 in the final match of Mid-America Cup soccer tournament at Oak Brooks Central Park on Sunday afternoon. It’s the first time that a championship team having two woman players, according to organizer Mr. C.M. Lei of Mid America Chinese Recreation Organization (MACRO).
