Progress Update from Asian American Coalition for Education
The Asian American Coalition for Education (“AACE”) is a non-political, non-profit, national organization devoted to promoting equal rights for Asian-Americans in education and education-related activities. In May 2015, the founders of AACE united more than 60 Asian American organizations to file a complaint with Department of Justice and Department of Education regarding Harvard University’s discriminatory practices against Asian American applicants. It was one of the largest joint actions ever taken by Asian American organizations in pursuit of equal education rights.
Wall Street Journal interviewed Mr. Yukong Zhao, one of the founders of AACE, in June 2015. The title of the interview is Harvard’s Chinese Exclusion Act.

US State Department Issues Worldwide Travel Alert
Nov. 23, 2015, — The State Department alerts U.S. citizens to possible risks of travel due to increased terrorist threats. Current information suggests that ISIL (aka Da’esh), al-Qa’ida, Boko Haram, and other terrorist groups continue to plan terrorist attacks in multiple regions. These attacks may employ a wide variety of tactics, using conventional and non-conventional weapons and targeting both official and private interests. This Travel Alert expires on February 24, 2016.

Director Eng Attends My Life In China Screening in Boston

Boston Nov. 22, 2015, — I went to St. James Church in Boston Chinatown this morning, and met a lot of old friends and took a lot of pictures. Also went next door to Tuft’s Auditorium for a Chinese documentary movie. The afternoon event was very well attended.

Hangzhou, China, Nov. 19, 2015 – The student-athletes participating in the Pac-12 China Game and their university delegations visited the headquarters of Alibaba Group (NYSE: BABA) in Hangzhou to kick off the historic week of activities in China. The Pac-12 China Game presented by Alibaba Group was played on Saturday, Nov. 14 at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai and is the latest event in the Pac-12’s Global Initiative.

Cambridge, Mass., Nov. 23, 2015, — Photo exhibition Record of 24 hours in Xinjiang opened Friday evening at Asian Cultural Center Boston on 1035 Cambridge St. About 100 invited guests attended the opening ceremony. About 70 photographs of Xinjiang’s unique landscape and diverse culture were on display in the Panda Studio &b Art Gallery at the newly renovated Asian Cultural Center.

The topic of Dr. Tea`s lecture was Bohea Tea: The Bridge of World History. One of the most interesting facts from this lecture was that the Bohea Tea was the tea that historical Boston Tea Party Tea dumped into Boston Harbor and the tea was greatly favored by Presidents like Jefferson and Nixon. Dr. Team also listed other interesting facts that reveal the extraordinary role Bohea Tea has played in world history, including the American Revolution.

Deloitte Releases 2015 North America Technology Fast 500 Rankings
