September 10, 2021, Boston — Man Ho Chan, aged 68, of Bedford, MA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 7 after a long, courageous and private battle with cancer. He was Commander of American Legion Boston Chinatown Post 328.

On this day 20 years ago, he and his family had just passed the first year without their youngest of three sons Teddy who died in a boating accident at age 15, and his eldest son Davis Jr was just six days in the new job on the 104th floor of the south tower at the World Trade Center.

Beautiful Meili Snow Mountain and Its Virgin Peaks
The Meili Snow Mountain, also known as the Prince Snow Mountains, is located deep in the Tibetan Plateau foothills, about 10 kilometers (6 miles) west of Deqin County Town, which is about 4 hours’ driving from Shangri-La, Yunnan Province. The area is a land of pilgrimage for Tibetan Buddhists. In the 1930s, it was praised by American scholars as “the most beautiful mountain in the world”.
The video below was taken recently by Mr. Chen Zhi during his trip to the Meili region in August 2021. “I will never forget the beauty and majesty of the Meili Snow Mountains,” said Mr. Chen.

MA Governor Baker Urges Caution Ahead of Hurricane Henri
BOSTON – Governor Charlie Baker today is urging the people of the Commonwealth to prepare for Hurricane Henri, which is expected to affect much of the Commonwealth beginning Saturday night into Monday, including the potential for strong winds, heavy rain, flooding and power outages. The Baker-Polito Administration is advising everyone to avoid unnecessary travel and for those planning to visit the Cape or Islands this weekend to delay trips. For those that have already traveled to the Cape or Islands for the weekend, they are advised to consider leaving on Saturday or extend their travel plans through early next week.

China has been blamed for America’s debt crisis while, at the same time, trying to gradually increase the value of the RMB. However, RMB appreciation alone is not the answer to America’s debt crisis. Many economists, including Noble Prize Laureate Joseph Stiglitz, argue for a new global reserve currency. The next big question is: which economy will issue this new global reserve currency?
