    【波士顿华人双语网特约记者李心茗综合报道】近日来，2013年度诺贝尔奖的各个奖项相继揭晓。10月7日，德国出生的斯坦福大学学者苏德霍夫（Thomas Sudhof）同加州伯克利分校的细胞生物学家谢克曼(Randy Schekman)以及耶鲁大学细胞生物学系主任罗斯曼(James Rothman)分享诺贝尔生理医学奖和120万美元的奖金，而引起中国科技大学校友们的热议。原来苏德霍夫教授的夫人是中科大校友陈路。

  • 校车司机罢工 波士顿公校暂不停课

    【波士顿华人双语网10月8日编译报道】由于校车司机突然罢工，波士顿公校今天的出勤率只有82%，比平时低了10个百分点。目前，校车司机的意图尚不明朗，市府宣布明天公校将提前一个小时开门，希望家长为学生找好替代交通工具。

  • 校长王恩哥：谱写北大新乐章（视频）

    【波士顿华人双语网特约记者李心茗报道】9月29日，第六届北京大学北美校友代表大会暨“北大论坛”在哈佛大学燕京图书馆举行。来自全美各地和加拿大的十几个北京大学校友会的200多名校友代表，同校长王恩哥带领的母校代表团，以及俞敏洪领队的企业家代表团经行了深入的交流。美国前劳工部长赵小兰、哈佛大学校长德鲁福斯特为本次盛会发来贺信。

    北大新英格兰校友会臧充之会长在致欢迎词中指出，北大论坛的目的是展现北大校友风采，分享校友人生与职业发展的经历，增进北大与北美各界的交流。

  • 新疆师大民族艺术团访问波大

    【波士顿华人双语网综合报道】《美国新闻和世界报道》（US News and World Report）杂志的各种排名颇具权威性。下面是该杂志评选出的麻州高中的前20名。在华人人口比较多的城镇中，贝尔蒙特、牛顿、莱克星顿、艾克顿、摩顿、安多福等都有高中进入前20名。特别值得一提的是，5所特许学校（charter school）入围前20名，占了25%。

  • 胡桃山音樂營 明日音樂大師的搖籃

    【波士頓華人雙語網李強報道】8月17日，由中華表演藝術基金會舉辦的第22屆胡桃山音樂營在內迪克（Natick）鎮的胡桃山音樂學校落下帷幕。來自中國大陸、台灣、加拿大、新加坡、越南及美國的44位學生在3周的音樂營期間，得到知名音樂學院教授的指導，並聆聽了小提琴家於翔、大提琴家易周、鋼琴天才黎卓宇等波士頓地區青年音樂家的精彩表演。

  • 罗德岛大学孔院成功举办第二届中文教师培训班

    【文：罗德岛大学孔子学院吴悦、图：张迟】随着“汉语热”在美国的持续升温，越来越多的学校开设了中文课程，对中文教师的需求量也日益增加，这使得中文教师成为就业的新热点。然而目前从业的中文教师大多不是对外汉语专业出身，在知识结构和理念方法上都存在较大的欠缺，他们非常希望通过系统而专业的培训来提高自身的业务素质，以适应教学和科研的需要。为了满足广大汉语教学者的需求，8月21日到8月25日，由孔子学院总部、国家汉办主办，罗德岛大学孔子学院承办了第二届教师培训班，为他们进行了为期5天的集中培训，取得了良好的反响。

  • 波士顿警局局长戴维斯获中国学生签名感谢信

    【波士顿华人双语网李强、张露元8月27日报道】今天上午，来自中国包头市内蒙古科技大学（IMUST）的石秀丽、李利彼（Lee Libbey）夫妇，在波士顿警察总局向局长爱德华·戴维斯(Ed Davis)呈上有数百名学生们签名的感谢信。戴维斯代表所有参与处理波士顿马拉松爆炸案及其后续事宜的执法人员接受了这封感谢信。

  • 2013大波士顿学区排名 西北郊城镇前25名过半

    【波士顿双语网综合报道】据《波士顿》杂志刚刚公布的2013年大波士顿地区最佳学校排名，在前25名城镇中，波士顿西北郊区的城镇超过五成，包括华人人口众多的牛顿、布鲁克兰、莱克星顿、艾克顿等城镇，其中莱克星顿镇高居第三名。
