  • Cathay Pacific Launches Nonstop Flights between Boston and Hong Kong

    Boston, August 22, 2014, -– Cathay Pacific Airways today announced at a joint press conference at the Massachusetts State House with Massachusetts Secretary of Transportation, Richard Davey, President and CEO of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, Paul Guzzi, and Thomas P. Glynn, CEO, Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport), that it will commence a new four-times-weekly non-stop service from Boston Logan International Airport to Hong Kong on May 3, 2015, subject to government approval.

  • Nonstop Flight between NYC and Guangzhou, China Opens

    New York City, August 7, 2014, (xinhuanet.com) — China Southern Airlines, the country’s largest air carrier by fleet size, launched non-stop flights between Guangzhou and New York on Wednesday.

It has great importance that the issue on servicing the tourists from Mainland China to Taiwan by professional Chinese speaking tour guides.

  • Malaysia Airlines Releases List of 298 MH17 Passengers

    July 19, 2014, — Malaysia Airlines is appealing to the family members or friends of those onboard MH17 to contact the airline. Enclosed is the MH17 passenger manifest for reference.

    In the past 45 hours, the airline together with various foreign embassies have made every effort to establish contact with the next-of-kin but is still unable to identify many more family members.

  • First Nonstop Flight from Mainland China Lands at Boston Logan Airport

    Boston, June 22, 2014, –Hainan Airlines launched a brand new route from Beijing to Boston, using its latest Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

    The new flights commenced on June 20, 2014 marking the first ever direct passenger service between Boston and mainland China. Initially, Hainan Airlines will operate the trans-Pacific route four times a week, with flights departing Beijing Capital International Airport every Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 1350, before arriving at Boston’s Logan International Airport at 1510 the same day, having crossed the International Date Line. The return leg will then depart the Massachusetts city at 1710, getting back into Beijing at 1850 the next day.

  • Airlines Add Direct Routes between China and US

    Beijing, June 20, 2014 (Global Times), — It is quite rare to see numerous routes opened between China and the United States within two weeks, but this is exactly what is happening now.

    Hainan Airlines, the fourth-largest airline in China in terms of fleet size, opens the nonstop route between Beijing and Boston, its third US city after Seattle and Chicago, Friday.

  • The Beauty of Potala Palace

    The Potala Palace, winter palace of the Dalai Lama since the 7th century, symbolizes Tibetan Buddhism and its central role in the traditional administration of Tibet. The complex, comprising the White and Red Palaces with their ancillary buildings, is built on Red Mountain in the center of Lhasa Valley, at an altitude of 3,700m. Also founded in the 7th century, the Jokhang Temple Monastery is an exceptional Buddhist religious complex. Norbulingka, the Dalai Lama’s former summer palace, constructed in the 18th century, is a masterpiece of Tibetan art. The beauty and originality of the architecture of these three sites, their rich ornamentation and harmonious integration in a striking landscape, add to their historic and religious interest.
