Boston, Feb. 11, 2013, — After successfully holding its annual celebration on Jan. 18, National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) Boston brings you another fun activity on March 4.

With 120 people in attendance at Center for Arts at the Armory in Somerville on a snowy evening in January, NAAAP Boston‘s Annual Celebration was a success. The annual celebration included a full-blown art gallery by celebrity watercolorist Misha Lenn, raffle games, and salsa dancing. Corporate sponsors Blue Cross Blue Shield, Liberty Mutual and State Street were recognized for their incredible collaboration and dedication to NAAAP.

MVP Awards were given to key members of the NAAAP Boston team for their outstanding work and dedication: Joanna Chua, Lesley Chuang, Jesse Nandhavan, Wei Wong, and Yan Yu. Rising Star awards were also given out to members Stephanie Kan and Jamie Kim.

Ms. Ru Zheng, president of New England Chinese Information & Networking Association (NECINA), was at a friendly party of Asian American Association of Boston (AAAOB) in Cambridge earlier that afternoon. Ms. Zheng mentioned that she was very impressed by the work NAAAP Boston has done over the past year, and was glad to meet many old and new friends at the annual celebration.

NAAAP Boston to Present Wine Tasting on March 4

NAAAP Boston Women in NAAAP (WIN) Initiative cordially invites the women in NAAAP to get together for a fun night of wine tasting with a wine 101 crash course!

Have you ever had the experience of debating the finer differences between a red or white wine? A Californian or French wine? Or a pinot noir or sauvignon cabernet? The Boston Wine School will help attendees gain a basic understanding of the world of wine and the nuances involved in selecting different types of wines. Attendees will also be introduced to the art of pairing wine with various foods.

All WIN members as well as those who are interested in checking out the WIN sisterhood should join us for this delightful 1-hour wine tasting class to take your enjoyment of wine to the next level. Participants will be given sparkling wine + canapés to start the informative fun night. The night will start off with a quick introduction of the NAAAP Boston WIN Initiative, followed by a wine tasting class featuring 5 different wines alongside an array of cheeses (creamy brie, crunchy aged Gouda, and tangy blues), and finally conclude with intimate mingling and networking.

The WINe Wine Tasting is limited to 25 individuals, so please RSVP now. Make sure to bring a valid ID. If there are any questions, please feel free to reach out to WIN directors Christine Chen and Tiffany Hu at [email protected]. Registration will only be accepted through the link below.
