Sept. 14, 2021, Boston, — Michelle Wu declared victory Tuesday evening in the Preliminary Election of the Boston Mayor’s race, having brought together a citywide multigenerational, multicultural, multiracial coalition to fight for bold, urgent leadership for the city of Boston. The daughter of immigrants and a BPS mom, Wu ran on her track record of results, from passing paid parental leave to successfully taking on big corporations to preserve rental housing.

Michelle Wu thanked supporters at her campaign headquarters on primary night.

Filmmaker Weiying Huang Receives Grant for Her Next Film after Best Human Interest Documentary Award
Boston, May 27, 2021, — Congratulations to filmmaker Weiying Olivia Huang for receiving a 2021 Cambridge Arts grant for her next documentary. Overseen as part of the Massachusetts Cultural Council, this program supports art projects representing the wealth of artistic activity throughout the city of Cambridge.

This is the second time director Huang(pictured above) has been so awarded by the Cambridge Art Council, and her previous grant led to her 2020 documentary City as Canvas: Above the Free Walls, winner of the Best Human Interest Documentary Award at the World Premiere Film Awards. It also received a nomination for Best New England Film at the Massachusetts Independent Film Festival, and at over 10 other film festivals all around the world.

Boston, Feb. 16, 2021, — Chinese American Citizens Alliance Boston (C.A.C.A. Boston), the Chinese American Heritage Foundation (CAHF) and Chung Wah Academy of New England (Chung Wah) will kick off the 1st Greater Boston Lunar New Year Rolling Parade on Sunday, February 21, 2021. Rain/snow day will be Sunday, February 28, 2021. The participates will assemble at 11:00 along Surface Road (Rose Kennedy Greenway) starting in front of the Lion Gateway in Boston’s Chinatown.

【波士顿双语网2021年2月2日讯】亚马逊公司今天公布财报时宣布,公司创始人贝佐斯(Jeff Bezos )将于今年第三季度辞去CEO职务,亚马逊云计算服务平台CEO贾西(Andy Jassy)将接任CEO职务,贝佐斯将担任亚马逊董事会的执行主席。

据悉,贾西自亚马逊创立后大部分时间都在该公司工作。过去近30年来,亚马逊从一个在线书商成长为价值1.7万亿美元的庞然大物,拥有130多万名员工。贾西是服务贝佐斯时间最长、最信任的副手之一。他在2003年担任CEO的 “影子”技术顾问这一重要角色。他撰写了后来成为亚马逊网络服务商业计划的原始文件,并自2006年该部门成立以来一直负责管理该部门。

Letter to MIT Chancellor Calls Arrest of Prof Chen “worst cases of academic racism”
Boston, Jan. 15, 2021, — FBI agents Prof. Gang Chen of MIT on Jan. 14, 2021, and charged that Prof Chen committed wire fraud, failed to file a foreign bank account report and made a false statement in a tax return. The letter titled “MIT and racism Re: A slippery road” below was written by Prof Yi Rao of Peking University.
