    New York, October 25, 2013 —- An epic documentary film “Lost Years”, directed by Kenda Gee and Tom Radford, was showcased during the eighth program of International Film Festival Manhattan (IFFM) 2013 at the Anthology Film Archives on Saturday, Oct. 19. At end of Oct. 20, Lost Years took home the award of “Best Documentary” and “Best of the Best” awards at IFFM 2013 .

  • Nineteen Cities to Join National Day of Protest Against ABC on Nov. 9

    Boston, Nov. 6, 2013, — On Nov. 9, 2013, Boston will join 18 other US cities in a national protest against ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live Kid’s Table segment in which “kill everyone in China” discussions were aired. Executives at ABC and Jimmy Kimmel has issued apologies after protests were erupted in San Francisco, Los Angels, Boston and other cities last week. However, many Chinese-Americans demanded further actions to be taken to hold people accountable for airing the segment on public airwaves.

  • Michelle Wu Wins Boston City Council At-Large Race

    Boston, Nov. 6, 2013, — Eleven months after she filed for Boston City Council At-Large candidacy, Michelle Wu won a decisive victory in Tuesday’s Boston city municipal elections. Getting 18% votes among eight city councilor at-large candidates competing for four seats, 28-year-old Michelle Wu was elected as the first Chinese-American Boston City Councilor.

  • Go Sox and Protest ABC, Rolling Rallies Rock Boston

    Boston, Nov. 2, 2013, — On a perfect autumn day in Boston, two million Red Sox fans showed up for the rolling rally for their beloved team winning 2013 World Series championship. After the duck boats passed through Boston City Hall plaza around 11:30 AM, many Sox fans would notice another rally going on near the Holocaust Memorial on their ways to pubs in Hay-market.

  • Berklee’s Yazhi Guo, Winner of 2012 Hong Kong Best Artist Award

    Boston, Oct. 30, 2013, — Each year, Hong Kong Arts Development Council (ADC) presents the Hong Kong Arts Development Awards. There are seven winners for the prestigious Award for Best Artists for 2012. Yazhi Guo, who studies at Berklee College of Music, received the Best Artist Award for music category.

  • Rolling Rally, a Fitting Sendoff for Boston Red Sox and Mayor Menino

    Mayor Thomas M. Menino and his team today announced plans in place for a victory parade to celebrate the 2013 World Champion Boston Red Sox. The parade will begin Saturday at 10:00 AM at Fenway Park and finish in the Charles River.

  • Grew up in Hong Kong, Connie Chan Competes for Miss Friendship Ambassador Pageant

    Audience Choice Award is a new award category being introduced this year in the Miss Friendship Ambassador pageant (MFA) pageant. Each online vote is worth one point. The pageant will be held on November 3 at Hilton Chicago Hotel. That evening, guests will be given one ballot each, worth 10 points to cast their choice. The contestant who gets the most combined votes wins this award.
