It’s Official — The Past Winter Is a Disaster in MA
Boston, April 13, 2015, — The President today declared a major disaster exists in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and ordered federal aid to supplement state, tribal, and local recovery efforts in the area affected by a severe winter storm, snowstorm, and flooding during the period of January 26-28, 2015.

My Freshman Year at Tsinghua University in 1936

(In 1936, Mr. Shih Ying Lee became a freshman at Tsinghua University(THU) in Beijing, China. After his freshman year, Mr. Lee had to travel many miles to Changsha, and then Kunming as Tsinghua University had to relocate due to the Japanese invasion. Mr. Lee arrived Boston to study at MIT as a graduate student in 1942. Ms. Lee later became a professor at MIT, and an entrepreneur. This article is from Prof Lee’s autobiography.)

Hundreds Call for New Housing Policies in Boston
Boston, April 7, 2015, — “Up with the wages, down with the rents!” rang the shouts of tenants and community activists as they marched into City Hall Plaza this afternoon. Led by tenants who have been forced out of their homes by speculative developers, the march began on Hudson Street in Chinatown, where protesters called on First Suffolk LLC to halt its acquisition of historic brick row houses that threatens to displace low income immigrant families. Chinatown has experienced skyrocketing real estate values following the addition of nearly 3,000 luxury units in the past 15 years.

John Hancock Survey — Investor Sentiment Reaches Five-Year High
Boston, April 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Investor sentiment has reached its highest level since the inception of the John Hancock Investor Sentiment Survey five years ago, rising to +28 in the first quarter of 2015 from a score of +22 in the first quarter of 2011.
