  • Angel Dance Company to Perform at Halftime of Celtics Vs. Lakers NBA Game

    Boston, Oct. 20, 2014, — The legendary NBA rivalry between the Boston Celtics and the LA Lakers will have something new to look for this year. On December 5, local dance group Angel Dance Company will be performing at halftime of the Celtics Vs. Lakers game. The game will feature recently signed Lakers’ star point guard Jeremy Lin who graduated from Harvard University and has a strong fan base in the Grater Boston area.

  • Notes from Boston Asian American Film Festival Preview Party

    Boston, Oct. 12, 2014, –Boston Asian American Film Festival(BAAFF) will be held from Oct. 23 to 26. A preview party was held on Oct. 9 at Crave restaurant in Chinatown by BAAFF, Future Boston Alliance and Asian American Resource Workshop. The party invited well-known local businesses such as Chattime Tea, and attracted nearly 100 people attended.

  • The First Chinese American Oscar Winner — James Wong Howe

    James Wong Howe, (Aug. 28, 1899 – July 12, 1976), one of the greatest cinematographers of the American film industry, was born in Guangzhou, China, and brought by his parents to the United States at the age of five. In his legendary Hallywood career as cinematographer, Mr. Howe worked on over 130 films, and was nominated for Oscar Award in Cinematography for ten time, winning two of them in 1956 and 1963.

  • The Silk Road Ensemble with Yo-Yo Ma to Tour East Asia

    Boston, October 3, 2014 — /PRNewswire-iReach/ — Between October 28 and November 10, 2014, the celebrated Silk Road Ensemble with renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma will bring innovative cross-cultural music to eight major Asian cities.     Boston, Sept. 25, 2014, –The third annual Boston Cup Classic Car Show was held in the Boston Common on Sept. 21 near the Parkman Bandstand. This year, in addition to 100 classic collector cars, race cars and electric vehicles. Hundreds of tourists to Boston Common, which was initially established 380 years ago in 1634, were pleasantly surprised by seeing the beautiful cars in exhibition on a perfect early autumn day..
