  • Boston City Council Declares the First Asian American Day in the Nation!

    Boston, Sept. 2, 2016, — As the Asian American Day Festival is to take place on Sept. 10 in Boston Common, Boston City Council has declared Sept. 10, 2016 as Asian American Day in Boston. The proclamation is signed by Michelle Wu, president of Boston City Council. This is the first such proclamation by a major city in the nation. Over 1,000 signatures were collected in a petition to declare the second Saturday in September as Asian American Day in Boston and the state.

  • BU Student Maggie Yu Wins 2016 Miss Earth China (Boston)

    Manchester, Vermont, August 31, 2016 — 2016 Miss Earth China (Boston) grand final was held yesterday afternoon at beautiful Taconic Hotel in downtown Manchester. BU pre-law student Maggie Yu won this special event after talent show, speech contest and Q&A sessions. Elena Peng of Binghamton University and Tianhuizi Zheng of Columbia University finished as first and second runners up among seven contestants who made to the grand final. Some contestants of this event will also appear at the Sixth Asian American Festival to be held in Boston Common on Sept. 10, 2016.

  • One Chinatown Arts Center to Open in 2017

  • I Watched Play “Where Am I?” Again and Again!

    I was so very, very proud of my theater talented friends at Fengxiang Drama Club putting out another wonderful performance play “Where Am I?” in Chestnut Hill yesterday (Aug. 6, 2016) afternoon. About 400 people showed up for the last performance before the cast members leaving for Beijing.

  • Leehom Wang to Receive Honorary Doctor of Music Degree from Berklee

    Boston, July 18, 2016, — An international cast of students will perform the influential music of Leehom Wang, the best-selling Mandarin-language musician of his generation on Nov. 13 at Boston Symphony Hall.
