艾克顿中文学校校长同家长座谈

【波士顿双语网记者李强报道】在9月20日的艾克顿中文学校系列讲座中,校长姚毓梅、副校长张敏、教务主任杨新星等学校管理团队成员同20多位家长举行了座谈会。乘开学之际,两位校长介绍了中文学校新学年来的一些新举措,并回答了家长提问。

姚毓梅和张敏是新当选的艾克顿中文学校的正副校长。两位校长为中文学校做义工多年,积极奉献、毫无保留。她们希望和家长们一同努力以使中文学校的办学适应实际需求和时代潮流,培养出更加优秀的年轻华人一代。

姚毓梅表示中文学校每年都会跟家长交流,听取意见。今年在网上注册方面有些小的改动,家长必须点击同意中文学校的规则才能注册。另外在发放教材方面也做了一些尝试,把书分好后送到教室,目的是提高效率。她提醒大家关注中文学校的网站:acls-ma.org,因为有些最新的消息和学校通知将在网站上公布。“比如去年有一天大风,把电线弄断了。我们通过电邮,短信等多种方式通知家长,同时也更新了学校的网站,”姚毓梅校长说。


副校长张敏说自己在艾克顿住了13年,看着中文学校从无到有,不断得到发展,很感激创立中文学校的前辈。希望和家长一起共同努力,把学校越办越好。如果大家对中文学校有建议和意见,可以电邮:[email protected]

教务主任杨新星提到新学年要求老师课后给家长发邮件,问大家收到没有。家长们表示有收到,并对老师的认真工作表示感谢。杨新星提醒家长们如果在教室旁听的话,不用看报纸、玩手机,因为会影响学生们上课。“家长要从小给孩子强调中文学校的重要性。读中文学校要坚持下来不容易,特别是高年级的学生。看游泳比赛、party都不是不上中文学校的理由,”杨新星。

据介绍,艾克顿中文学校目前有38个班、70多位老师和老师助理。7年级有学生25人,而毕业班也有劲20人。


在本周日的讲座中,纽约人寿的王晶女士将向家长们介绍投资、省税的方法。下面是讲座的通知。
