Hundreds of Silicon Valley Asian American residents attended the Senate Constitution Amendment No. 5(SCA-5) townhall meeting at Cupertino Community Hall in the afternoon of March 2, 2014. The townhall meeting was moderated by Dr. Albert Wang, APAPA Chair. The four panelists were Bob Huff, State Senator, Lin-chi Wang, Past Chair, Ethnic Studies Dept, UC Berkeley, David Lehrer, President, Community Advocates, and Henry Der, past Deputy Superintendent, California Department of Education.

Attorney Martin Keogh Announces Candidacy for Suffolk County Register of Probate

Video: At least 28 Dead in Kunming Railway Station Terrorist Attack
(From China View)At least twenty-eight civilians were confirmed dead and 113 others injured Saturday in a railway station attack in southwest Chinese city of Kunming, authorities said.

Doctors and nurses from nearby hospitals rushed in to help.

Boston Homeowners Embrace Solar Power
Boston, Feb. 28, 2014, — Mayor Martin J. Walsh today announced 106 Boston homeowners have signed contracts to install solar power through the 2013 Renew Boston Solarize program, a community bulk pricing program. A high rate of participation helped Renew Boston Solarize achieve its goal of 500 kilowatts (kW) of solar power and qualify for the lowest costs in the tiered pricing structure.

Liu Yandong, Vice Premier of the China, on her visit to Chicago, attended the University of Sino-US high-level roundtable meeting held at the University of Chicago in Nov. 2013. Vice Premier Liu attended the China Scholarship Council, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Later on that day, she visited the Ann & Robert H Lurie Children’s hospital of Chicago and Mayor Rahm Emanuel gave her a welcome speech, dinner and finished the evening by attending a Chicago Bulls NBA basketball game together.
