Boston, Oct. 20, 2016, — To celebrate its 10th Anniversary, University of Massachusetts Boston Confucius Institute held a celebration at Campus Center of UMass Boston on Oct. 11. About 200 teachers, students and distinguished guests attended this event, and enjoyed wonderful performances by Renming University of China (RUC) Student Art Troupe.

Boston, Oct. 17, 2016, — The 20th Anniversary Celebration of Century Chinese Language School (CCLS) was hold on Oct 15 at Fuller Middle School in Framingham. About 400 students, teachers and parents enjoyed an evening of cultural performances and even a fashion show.

Boston, October 15, 2016 – Protests against Rapper YG’s hateful Lyrics in major cities across the nation. Boston will hold a protest when YG is scheduled to have a performance here on Oct. 19.
The Chinese American Citizens Alliance Boston Lodge condemns the cultural form of violence represented by the music video “Meet the Flockers.” This extremely racist video, produced by Keenon Daequan Ray Jackson aka rapper YG, incites and perpetuates racial stereotypes, horrendous violence and despicable crime against Chinese Americans. The lyrics and video blatantly glorifies home invasions on American families.

In the evening of November 4, 2016 (6:30-9:30 PM), students from Yuqing Graceworks School will culminate their training program with an end-of-program fashion show, featuring dresses with brilliant fall colors, casual and elegant eveningwear ensembles.

We kicked off our 2016 program year with an animated annual dinner last October. Thank you to our sponsors, board members, volunteers, attendees, Sojourner awardees Arthur Wong and Gary Libby, and to our excellent key note presenters, Francis Chin and Vincent Lau. We asked them to discuss the Chinese American immigration experience, as we recognized 2015 as the 50th anniversary of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, which eliminated the National Origins quotas. They took us back to the future/past of the Chinese American immigration experience in a lively, interactive and engaging presentation.

Boston, Oct. 8, 2016, Xiamen University(XMU) America Alumni Association Annual Meeting held its 2016 annual meeting today at Empire Garden in Boston Chinatown. Over 100 Xiamen University alumni from across the US attended the annual meeting with honor guest Vice President Zhan Xinli of Xiamen University.
