Boston, July 29, 2016 – Mayor Martin J. Walsh today joined Boston Centers for Youth & Families (BCYF) to announce that all BCYF drop-in programs will follow rigorous new standards in an effort to strengthen oversight and child safety. These changes are a result of an assessment of all protocols and procedures at the city’s summer camps and drop-in programs that was conducted this week.

NYC Senior Center Volunteer Vincent Tse Assaulted, in Critical Condition
New York City, — On July 22, 68 years old Asian male Vincent Tse, who has been a volunteer for six years at Selfhelp Benjamin Rosenthal-Prince Street Senior Center, was looking for parking spot on the way to the center to volunteer. He had a disagreement with an African-American and was severely assaulted. He is now in critical condition. This case is currently under investigation by the police. Senior Center manager, Mr. Jing Sheng Qiu, is asking for witness to step up to testify.

Boston Police Log for Chinatown July 8 to 20
MVA Pedestrian07/20/2016 9:56 AM. The officer while on patrol on Hudson street observed an injurd male sitting on the curb. upon further investigation the officer discovered the victim had been struck by a motor vehicle that had left the scene. the operator of m/v returned to the scene. the victim walked to hospital. the incident to be further investigated.

Pianist Andrew Li — A Rising Star

Boston, July 12, 2016, — Just days before leaving for the Cooper Competition, Andrew Li gave an amazing recital at M Steinert and Sons in downtown Boston. About 80 music fans packed the small hall on the third floor of 162 Boylston St., right across Boston Common. They were treated with a night of beautiful music from one the of the rising stars in classic music in Boston.
