  • The 17th Harvard China Forum Opens with Entertaining Speech by Kevin Rudd

    Cambridge, Mass., April 19, 2014, — The 17th Harvard China Forum(HCF) opened with a welcome ceremony in the evening of April 18 at Charles Hotel in Harvard Square. About 500 attendees packed the large ballroom to listen to speeches by former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, China Entrepreneurs Forum president Tian Yuan, and Taikang Life Insurance’s Duan Guosheng. The three-day conference is one of the largest China focused conferences in the US.

  • CCBA, CHSNE Hold Press Conference on Volleyball and Film 9-Man

    Boston, April 15, 2014, — A press conference was held at CCBA-NE’s conference room in the afternoon of April 13 in Boston Chinatown. CCBA president Hung Goon announced a cooperation effort alongside the North American Chinese Volleyball Association-Boston chapter (NACVA-Boston) to organize volleyball tournaments this summer in Chinatown. Sherry Dong, board president of the Chinese Historical Society of New England (CHSNE), announced that a reception will be hosted by CHSNE right after the world premier of documentary film 9-man on April 27 at Somerville Theatre.

  • Anniversary of Marathon Bombings Marked in Boston and Nationwide

    Boston, April 15, 2014, — On a rainy and windy day in Boston, ceremonies marking one year anniversary were held in Boston and across the nation. Bombing victims Krystle Campbell, Lingzi Lu, Martin Richard, and MIT police officer Sean Collier were remembered with a moment of silence at around 2:46 PM at a ceremony near the Boston Marathon finish line in front of Boston Public Library.

  • FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour Stops in Washington DC

    Washington, DC, April 14, 2013, — With the opening match of the 2014 FIFA World Cup only less than two months away, the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour makes a stop in the National’s Capital today. Vice President Biden and Secretory Kerry unveiled the trophy along with members of US National Soccer Team and distinguished guests.

  • Officials Outline Boston Marathon Public Safety Plans

    Boston, April 12, 2014, — As the City of Boston prepares for millions of visitors over the next week culminating in the 118th Boston Marathon, city officials today released detailed public safety plans for Boston’s approximately 2 miles of marathon route. Teams of leaders in government and the private sector have worked for months to develop these plans to ensure a safe and successful series of events.

  • Five Graduates from Polytechnic H.S. To Attend MIT

    LOS ANGELES (April 4, 2014) -– A new wave of engineers from Polytechnic High School is welcome at the elite campus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The Los Angeles Unified School District proudly announced today that five students from Polytechnic High School’s Math/Science Magnet have been admitted to the prestigious program. In the past three years, 11 Poly students have been accepted at what may be the nation’s premier institution of higher learning for science and technology.

  • Boston Housing Production and Main Streets Funding Get a Boost

    April 11, 2013, — Mayor Martin J. Walsh announced today that this spring, five million dollars will be made available to build housing in the City of Boston. The funds will come from the City’s Inclusionary Development Fund, and are being made available after a comprehensive review of that fund’s finances and fiscal controls.
