  • Boston Homeowners Embrace Solar Power

    Boston, Feb. 28, 2014, — Mayor Martin J. Walsh today announced 106 Boston homeowners have signed contracts to install solar power through the 2013 Renew Boston Solarize program, a community bulk pricing program. A high rate of participation helped Renew Boston Solarize achieve its goal of 500 kilowatts (kW) of solar power and qualify for the lowest costs in the tiered pricing structure.

  • 2014 NECP’s Lunar New Year Gala Shows Unity

    Boston, Feb. 11, 2014, — About 500 people attended 2014 New England Chinese Professionals 2014 Lunar New Year Gala on Feb. 1 at Marriott Boston-Newton hotel. Comparing to last year’s gala just after Blizzard Nemo, this year’s weather was much better with high temps in the 50s. Gov. Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Martin Walsh sent congratulatory letters for this year’s gala.

  • Emirates to Start Nonstop Service between Boston and Dubai on March 10

    Boston, Feb. 18, 2014, -– The Massachusetts economy will be better connected with the world on March 10 when Emirates – named the “World’s Best Airline” at the 2013 Paris Air Show — begins flying daily nonstop service between Boston and the United Arab Emirates.   • Dr. Andrew Lo, Keynote Speaker at NECP’s Lunar New Year Gala

    Dr. Andrew W. Lo, a prominent economist, is the Charles E. and Susan T. Harris Professor at the MIT Sloan School of Management and director of the MIT Laboratory for Financial Engineering. He received his Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University in 1984. Before joining MIT’s finance faculty in 1988, he taught at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School as the W.P. Carey Assistant Professor of Finance from 1984 to 1987, and as the W.P. Carey Associate Professor of Finance from 1987 to 1988.
