  • Asian American Association of Boston Holds Friendship Party

    Cambridge, Mass., Jan. 21, 2014, –Asian American Association of Boston(AAAOB) held its first Friendship Party in the afternoon of Jan. 18 at Cambridge Innovation Center on One Broadway. Despite a snowstorm on that day, close to 100 invited guests still showed up. AAAOB board president Ye Huang, executive director Klysler Yen, and director of AAAOB’s Performing Art Troupe Jicheng Gu warmly welcomed all guests.

  • Chinese Tycoon Chen Guangbiao Explains His NY Times Bid

    Following the announcement on his desire to buy The New York Times last week, Chinese billionaire Chen Guangbiao again drew media’s attention by announcing his plan to spend over US$1 million on two severely burned and disfigured Falun Gong self-immolators for their medical treatment.

    Held in a hotel in Manhattan, New York, the press conference kicked off by Chen singing a song composed by himself. Chen then proceeded to share his point of views on life and wealth, followed by the real announcements of the press conference today.

  • Mayor Menino Kicks off 38th Annual First Night Boston

    Mayor Thomas M. Menino today held the city’s annual First Night public safety press conference, encouraging people to come to Boston to ring in the New Year during the 38th Annual First Night celebration. Officials from the Boston Police Department, Boston Fire Department, Emergency Medical Services and the MBTA reminded revelers to celebrate the holiday safely and encouraged visitors to take advantage of public transportation when traveling through the city.
