  • After Annual Celebration, NAAAP Boston to Present Wine Tasting on March 4

    Boston, Feb. 11, 2013, — After successfully holding its annual celebration on Jan. 18, National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) Boston brings you another fun activity on March 4.

    With 120 people in attendance at Center for Arts at the Armory in Somerville on a snowy evening in January, NAAAP Boston‘s Annual Celebration was a success. The annual celebration included a full-blown art gallery by celebrity watercolorist Misha Lenn, raffle games, and salsa dancing. Corporate sponsors Blue Cross Blue Shield, Liberty Mutual and State Street were recognized for their incredible collaboration and dedication to NAAAP.

  • Mayors Walsh, Christensen and Wong Attend Year of the Horse Lion Dance Parade in Chinatown

    Boston, Feb. 9, 2014, — It was a cold day this morning in Boston. Thousands of residents and tourists still showed up for today’s Lion Dance Parade in Boston Chinatown. They were delighted with lion dances by dozens of dancers from various teams to the loud drum beats and firecrackers.

  • Boston Public Schools Closed on Wednesday with Snowstorm in the Forecast

    Boston, Feb. 4, 2014, — Mayor Martin J. Walsh today announced City response plans for the winter storm expected to begin early tomorrow morning. The Mayor has declared a Snow Emergency and Parking Ban for the City of Boston, in effect tonight, Tuesday, February 4, at 11:00 p.m. Boston Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 5. City Hall will be open for business as usual.

    “Our team is ready for this storm,” Mayor Walsh said. “We’re expecting a very difficult morning commute, and for that reason we’re urging everyone to use public transportation to travel in and around the city tomorrow.”

    New York City, Feb. 2, 2014, — The 15th Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade & Festival was held today in Manhattan. Thousands of residents, tourists and Super Bowl fans enjoyed this annual celebration. And the celebration of Year of Horse might really be a good sign for the Denver Broncos who will play against Seattle Sea Hawks in Super Bowl XLVIII in Metlife Stadium eleven miles from New York Chinatown at 6:30 PM this evening.

The flower market was announced by Tony Yee at the Chinatown Main Street annual gala on Jan. 11, and has drown a lot of visitors to the market under a big tent despite of the cold weather.
