  • China Launches the First Moon Lander of This Century

    Dec. 2, 2013 (Xinhua), — China launched the Chang’e-3 lunar probe with the country’s first moon rover aboard early on Monday, marking a significant step toward deep space exploration. [Special coverage]

    The probe’s carrier, an enhanced Long March-3B rocket, blasted off from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China at 1:30 a.m.

  • Harvard China Night 2013 Discusses China’s New Reforms

    Cambridge, Mass., Nov. 8, 2013, — Harvard China Night 2013 was held at Harvard University Kennedy School of Government (HKS) at the evening of Nov. 1, 2013. This year’s theme is “China’s Next Ten Years: Business as (Un)usual”. Three distinguished guests: Dr. Gao Jian, Dr. Zhang Yujun and Prof. John A. Quelch delivered keynote speeches. Traditional Chinese cultural performances won loud applause from hundreds of attendees. This event was organized by HKS China Students and Scholars Association (CSSA).

  • Post Card from Yao Kou Village, China

    Our car circling around mountain roads, we were in awe at the passing sights; after about two hours of driving through small villages we finally came to the remote village of Yau Kou (窈口) in the deep mountains. About 100 kilometers from the city of Hangzhou, Yao Kou village is situated in the far west of the town of Fuyang (富阳).

  • “Kill Everyone in China”? Disney Lost Its Magic by Airing Genocidal Discussions on ABC

    In a recent episode of ABC’s Jimmy Ki­mmel Live, the host discussed with four kids of the government shutdown in the Kid’s Table segment. When Jimmy Ki­mmel asked the kids about what to do with the $1.3 trillion U.S. debt to China, one boy replied: “Kill everyone in China.” Jimmy Ki­mmel commented “that’s an interesting idea,” and went on to discuss more about this idea as if there was nothing wrong with it. The editors and managers of ABC must have felt the same way, and aired these racist and genocidal discussions on air.

  • Shaolin Kung Fu Wowed the Audience at U.N. Headquarters

    New York City, Oct. 11, 2013, –Shi Yongxin, the 30th-generation abbot of the legendary Shaolin Temple, led a cultural delegation to perform kung fu at the United Nations headquarters on Oct 9.

    Performing traditional Chinese martial arts moves, the 18-member group wowed the audience, many of whom said they had never seen such feats before.
