  • 2015 Chinese Music & Dance Night Returns on August 27

    Acton, Mass., August 24, 2015, — A couple weeks after Essence of India was held successfully at Nara Park, the same stage will be filled with beautiful performances of traditional Chinese instruments and dances this Thursday evening. Performers from Acton Chinese Language School, Angle Dance Company and local art groups will celebrate the end of summer with hundreds residents like they did last year.

  • Beijing Association USA Donates $24,900 to Families of Tianjin Firefighters

    Los Angles, August 22, 2015, — Chants of “Go Tianjin” erupted at Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles yesterday morning. Dozens of Beijing Association USA members donated $24,900 to families of Tianjin firefighters who passed away in the August 12 explosions.

  • The Fifth AA Day Meets ATV Miss Asia at August Moon Festival

    Boston, August 10, 2015, — Boston Chinatown was filled with food vendors, exhibition booths, lovely souvenirs, and exciting performances at yesterday’s annual August Moon Festival. Ten of thousands visitors and residents showed up for the festivities, organized by CCBA New England, on a perfect summer day. Besides the traditional lion dances and Cantonese opera, the Chinese calligraphy and music performances by ATV Miss Asia contestants at the Asian American Association of Boston (AAAB) booth drew cheers and applause from the audience.

  • Biography of WWII Hero Arthur Wong Donated to Firefighters in Hangzhou, China

    Hangzhou, China, August 6, 2015, — To commemorate 70th anniversary of the victory of Chinese People’s Anti-Japanese War and the World Anti-Fascist War, remember history, cherish the memory of martyrs and peace, a book donation ceremony was held at the Gongshu District Fire Department meeting room in the afternoon of of July 30. One hundred books of Chinese American WWII hero Arthur Wong’s biography were donated to firefighters of the department.

  • Salt Lake City Public Library Hosts China During WWII Film Exhibition

    Salt Lake City, July 25, 2015, — This coming September marks 70 years since the end of World War II. In commemoration of this anniversary, Salt Lake City Public Library will host China During WWII film exhibition at the main library auditorium. China is a key alley of the US during WWII in the Pacific arena.

  • The 5th Asian American Day Prep Meeting Held at CCBA in Boston Chinatown

    On July 13, the 5th Asian American Day Preparatory Meeting was held at Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association (CCBA) in Boston Chinatown. Klysler Yen, vice president of AAAB (Asian American Association of Boston) board attended the meeting, and his son Donnie Yen, the famous Hong Kong Kung Fu movie star, delivered his congrats and wishes to the successful hosting of the 5th Asian American Day event via his father. Director David Bai hosted the meeting. The Asian American Day aims to create a platform in order to unify Asian Americans in Boston, and to beautify Asian American communities.

  • CYPN Hosts Seminar by Councilor Wu

    Interested in local politics? As an Asian American have you wondered what it takes to make an political impact? Wait no further! On August 14 CYPN invites you to join our seminar with Michelle Wu, the most successful Asian American politician in Boston. Right after graduation from Harvard Law School in 2012, Michelle got elected the following year at the age of 28. She is the first Chinese American and first Asian American woman to serve on the Boston City Council, as well as the youngest current member.

  • MAACC Youth Holds Community Partners Appreciation in Malden

    Malden, Mass., July 2, 2015, — –Upon hearing an announcement in the Malden High School (MHS) cafeteria, students Lindsay Trannguyen, Nicole Baltazar and Yuki Cheung decided to sign up to join the youth leadership team of the Malden Asian American Community Coalition (MAACC), an organization that seeks to determine the needs of Asian residents in an effort to better serve the community. Nine months later, the three students are among 18 MHS Asian-American youth who worked to complete a significant needs assessment project geared towards the Asian community.
