    Hong Kong, Sept. 3, 2024, — Cathay Pacific advises that the maintenance activity on our A350 fleet is progressing well. Our engineering team have thoroughly inspected our fleet of operational A350 aircraft within 24 hours. In total, we have identified 15 aircraft with affected engine components that require replacement and three have already gone through successful repairs. The remaining aircraft will continue to be out of service until they have been repaired and cleared for operation. We expect that all affected aircraft will resume operations by Saturday (7 September).

  • Cathay Pacific Launches Hong Kong to Boston Nonstop Flight Today with Boeing 777-300ER

    Boston, May 3, 2015, — Boeing and Cathay Pacific celebrated delivery of 50th Boeing 777-300ER (Extented Range) in the fleet of the airline of Hong Kong on Thursday, April 30. Cathay also opened its new service to Boston today.

  • Civil Disobedience in Hong Kong Ends Peacefully as Reform Talk to Begin

    Hong Kong, Oct. 6, 2014, — Hong Kong demonstrators, which occupied main finance regions of the city in protest to the Chinese government’s intervention in selection of names to be nominated for 2017 elections, decided to dissolve. Principles of dialogue on constitutional reform has been agreed upon by both sides.

  • Cathay Pacific Launches Nonstop Flights between Boston and Hong Kong

    Boston, August 22, 2014, -– Cathay Pacific Airways today announced at a joint press conference at the Massachusetts State House with Massachusetts Secretary of Transportation, Richard Davey, President and CEO of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, Paul Guzzi, and Thomas P. Glynn, CEO, Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport), that it will commence a new four-times-weekly non-stop service from Boston Logan International Airport to Hong Kong on May 3, 2015, subject to government approval.
