    Cambridge, Mass. — In the afternoon of Nov. 18, 2012, the Winner of 2012 MIT CHIEF Business Plan contest was announce at the MIT China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (CHIEF) at Stata Center in MIT. “Sodium Energy”, a clean energy project by MIT students Kai Xiang Zheng Li, won the first place award, and the $10,000 grand prize.

  • 40-Day Countdown for the 2012 MIT-CHIEF Began at the Launch Ceremony

    Cambridge, Mass. – In the afternoon of October 6, the MIT-China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (MIT-CHIEF)’s Launch Ceremony of 2012 annual conference was held at the Marriott Hotel in Kendal Square near MIT campus. The organizing team announced this year’s forum topics and the latest progress. The registration website was officially launched, with the opening day, November 16, of this year’s forum exactly 40 days away.

  • MIT Dragon Held on the Lead in a Friendly Soccer Match Against Boston United

    Cambridge, Mass. – In the evening of September 15, MIT Dragon soccer team hosted a friendly soccer match against Boston United at Henry Steinbrenner Stadium & Track. Players from both teams enjoyed an evening of playing soccer on a beautiful autumn night, and the match was played at a high level as there were many outstanding players from both teams.

  • Registration Opens for MIT-CHIEF “Pitch to China” Business Plan Contest

    The second annual “Pitch to China” Business Plan Contest was launched on July 1, 2012, and starts to accept business plan submissions. As an important component of MIT-China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (MIT-CHIEF), the Contest strives to connect new technologies and business models with investment and experience from both China and the US. This year, 6 teams will enter the final round and compete for more than $20,000 cash prize. One interesting feature of the contest is that there is no restriction on the background of the contestants and also no restriction on the type of the business, which gives great flexibility to the contestants.

  • MIT Dedicated Monumental Sculpture by Internationally Renowned Artist Cai Guo-Qiang

    Cambridge – In the evening of May 10, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) dedicated Ring Stone (2010) by internationally renowned artist Cai Guo-Qiang in front of the new Sloan building at 100 Main Street. The monumental white granite sculpture is the artist’s first public work of art for a university campus. Located in the north garden adjacent to the MIT Sloan School of Management, the artwork celebrates the Sloan School’s educational and cultural ties with China and will be on permanent display.
