Newton China Day to be Held at City Hall on March 12

Newton, Mass., March 8, 2016, — The 2nd annual Newton China Day will take place this Saturday, March 12, at Newton City Hall. It will be in the second month of the Year of Monkey on the Lunar calendar then. This event is presented by Newton Chinese Language School (NCLS) and Chinese American Association of Newton (CAAN).

This year’s Culture Festival will showcase different Chinese performing arts from Chinese instrument, singing, dancing to martial arts and Chinese Yoyo.Chinese traditional costume. People will have a rare opportunity to see live demonstration of the costume from different from different Chinese ethnic groups and from ancient time.

Meanwhile, there will be live demonstration for Chinese painting and choreography. For children, we have prepared crafting, face painting and games. We are confident that everyone will learn a great deal about Chinese Culture while enjoy a good time at this event.
