【侨报周末特约记者李强波士顿图文报道】 4月13、14日两天，哈佛华人生命科学研讨会在哈佛医学院举行，吸引了约200位来自哈佛医学院及其附属医药、研究所，以及波士顿地区生命科学领域的研究人员。本次年会由哈佛大学医学院中国专家学者联合会（HMS-CSSA），哈佛大学公共卫生学院中国学生学者联合会联合主办。

Mindful Scientific Wins Business Pitch Competition at 2013 Harvard Extension Business Conference

Cambridge, Mass., April 29, 2013, — In 17 days, Canadian entrepreneur Ying Tam won two awards at 2013 Harvard Extension Business Conference (HEBC) and at the IBM Innovation Center. In the afternoon of April 27, Mindful Scientific emerged as winner among eight finalists after two rounds of intense competition at the HEBC in Northwest Science building at Harvard University. The Healio team finished as the first runner-up.

Focusing on “Accelerating Drug Development”, Boston BioForum 2013 Hands out Excellence in Innovation Awards

Cambridge, Mass., April 28, — Boston Bioforum 2013, the annual conference of Chinese Americal BioMedical Association (CABA), was held on April 27 at MIT Faculty Club. Many attendees traveled from the West Coast or even from China to show their support for Boston and CABA, less than two weeks after the Boston Marathon bombings.

【侨报周末特约记者李强波士顿报道】在不到一周的时间里，麻省理工学院（MIT）4月24日再次停课，为18日在校园被波士顿爆炸案嫌犯击毙的校警克里尔（Sean Collier）在该校体育场举行了盛大的追悼会。副总统拜登、麻州州长帕特里克、联邦参议员沃伦等政要，以及来自美国各地和加拿大、爱尔兰的数千名警员出席了追悼会。

Top 100 Runners at 2013 Salt Lake City Marathon

The 2013 Salt Lake City Marathon is the first major Marathon race after the Boston Marathon bombings. Security was visibly enhanced throughout the race course on Saturday, April 20.
Bryant Jensen, 29-year-old from Ogden, UT, crossed the finish first in 2:30:14. A total of 905 runners participated in this year’s Marathon, with 890 of them finished the 26.2 mile race. James Gilbert, 50-year-old from Thunder Bay, ON, was the last one to cross finish line in 6:42:15.

波士顿马拉松选手李战哲历险记（视频）
【波士顿双语网记者李强报道】从北京来参赛的60岁的李战哲在比赛头一天接受了记者的专访，并在记者的陪同下参加了14日下午在梅尔罗斯（Melrose）镇苏珊·孙女士家中的本地华人聚会。曾经参加过2008年湖南岳阳站奥运火炬接力的李战哲不仅长跑出色，也非常喜欢唱歌。他在聚会上为大家清唱了充满豪情的《向天再借五百年》，得到大家热烈的掌声。

在中国五千年的历史中，十年不过是弹指一瞬间。然而，一个十年，对于我们每个人不足百年的人生旅程而言，却意味深远。十年的光阴，往往可以改变一个人的生命轨迹。如果你现在闭上眼睛回想一下十年前你在哪里、在做些什么，今昔之间的差异或许会让你惊叹。对于 David，我和大部分本届论坛的组织者来说，十年前我们还是一群小学毕业生。
