  • AAPI Community Turns out to Support Martha Coakley for MA Governor

    Boston, Oct. 21, 2014, –AAPI (Asian American Pacific Islander) Community held a Rally for the MA Governor Candidate, bringing community members together to utter a collective voice on Oct. 19 in Boston Chinatown with hundreds of AAPI supporters. Governor Deval Patrick and Attorney General Martha Coakley, who is also the MA Governor Candidate, were the feature speakers. Light receptions and the Chinese lion dance at the Metropolitan Building Courtyard (38 Ash Street, Boston) lightened everybody up in the cold weather.

  • Angel Dance Company to Perform at Halftime of Celtics Vs. Lakers NBA Game

    Boston, Oct. 20, 2014, — The legendary NBA rivalry between the Boston Celtics and the LA Lakers will have something new to look for this year. On December 5, local dance group Angel Dance Company will be performing at halftime of the Celtics Vs. Lakers game. The game will feature recently signed Lakers’ star point guard Jeremy Lin who graduated from Harvard University and has a strong fan base in the Grater Boston area.

  • MA Junior Amateur Golf Champion Paul Lei Honored by HP, AJGA

    Boston, Oct. 14, 2014, — Congratulations are in order for one former MGA Champion.

    Paul Lei (Ferncroft CC) – winner of the 2013 Massachusetts Junior Amateur Championship – was named an HP Scholastic Junior All-American by the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA). Since 1988, HP and the AJGA have come together to recognize 12 young men and 12 young women who demonstrate the ability to excel both on the golf course and in the classroom.

  • Civil Disobedience in Hong Kong Ends Peacefully as Reform Talk to Begin

    Hong Kong, Oct. 6, 2014, — Hong Kong demonstrators, which occupied main finance regions of the city in protest to the Chinese government’s intervention in selection of names to be nominated for 2017 elections, decided to dissolve. Principles of dialogue on constitutional reform has been agreed upon by both sides.

  • Kathryn Tian Takes Home Gold and Silver Medals at WAKO Junior World Championships

    Boston, Oct. 2, 2014, — When Kathryn Tian moved to Studio City in Southern California from Boston at end of last year, she didn’t expect that she would be selected to USA Karate and Boxing National Team in April 2014, and win gold and silver medals for Team USA just a few months later.

  • Boston Marks China’s National Day with Flag Raising Ceremony

    Boston, Oct. 1, 2014, — Today is the 65th Anniversary of founding of People’s Republic of China. A flag raising ceremony was held at Boston City Hall plaza on Sept. 27. Over a thousand people showed up to witness the national flag of China rising along side of US National and Mass. State flags.

  • One Hundred Year Old Cars Exhibited in 400-Year-Old Park

    Boston, Sept. 25, 2014, –The third annual Boston Cup Classic Car Show was held in the Boston Common on Sept. 21 near the Parkman Bandstand. This year, in addition to 100 classic collector cars, race cars and electric vehicles. Hundreds of tourists to Boston Common, which was initially established 380 years ago in 1634, were pleasantly surprised by seeing the beautiful cars in exhibition on a perfect early autumn day..
