  • Keep History Alive! Sing Tao Chinese Radio and PBS to Air Programs on Chinese Exclusion Act

  • Winners of the 27th Annual US National Chinese Brush Painting and Calligraphy Competition

    Boston, April 25, 2018, A total of 52 pieces of Chinese Brush Painting and Calligraphy were chosen as winners from a total of 195 entries (Brush Painting 148, Calligraphy 47). They were submitted by 16 different Chinese Schools, arts studios, and individuals from four states (CA, CT, MA, NJ). The images of the 52 winners’ art works will be posted on Foundation for Chinese Performing Arts’ website at: www.ChinesePerformingArts.net around June 10, 2018.

  • The Moy Family Honored at A Taste of Ginger

    Boston, April 12, 2018, A Taste of Ginger was held on April 9 at Museum of Fine Art with about 300 guests attending. It’s one of Boston’s largest food events of the year benefiting Joslin Diabetes Center’s Asian American Diabetes Initiative (AADI). The Moy family, including Ricky Moy, Brian Moy and Patty Moy, were honored at the event for their generous support.

  • Two Seniors Raised $2098 for Cary Memorial Library

    April 3, 2018, — Two senior artists Mr. Junyu Cheng and Ms. Jinyuan Dong recently held a Chinese calligraphy and painting exhibition at Cary Memorial Library in Lexington. A total of $698 in total proceeds from the exhibition was donated to the library. With the 1:1 match by two anonymous donors, each donating $700, a total of $2098 has been raised for the Cary Memorial Library Foundation (CMLF).

    Boston, March 29, 2018, — Chinatown Business Association (CBA) held its first Chinese New Year banquet last night at Empire Garden restaurant in Boston Chinatown. Mayor Walsh and many other distinguished guests were among over 400 attendees to celebrate the success and contributions of businesses in Boston Chinatown.

  • The 67th Wideman Piano Competition Gold Medalists: Wang Yinuo and Mei Li

    Dec. 11, 2017, — Wang Yinuo and Mei Li were named Gold Medalists at the 67th Wideman International Piano Competition. Both young pianists were rising stars in China.

    Wang Yinuo, born in Beijing, China in October 1996. Starting to play the piano at the age of 4. In 2007, she was admitted as a piano student to the Music Elementary School attached to the Central Conservatory of Music (CCOM) in Beijing, and in 2010 she entered the Music Middle School attached to CCOM.
